Announcing her fifth member of the 2018-19 roster for the Calvary University Women’s basketball team, head coach Tressa Shoemaker is pleased to announce the Signing of Shalom Sutcliffe, a 5’5” point guard from Peculiar, MO
Shalom joins the Lady Warriors after sitting out her senior season because of health concerns. During her junior year, she totaled 4.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 3 steals per contest. She was awarded 2016-17 NCHBC Heartland All-Region First Team and Point Guard of the Year, as well as 2015-16 NCHBC All-Tournament Team and All-Region Team. She was also the member of a two-time 4A Gold Ball National Championship Team and National Final Four Team between 2014 and 2016.
Shalom is going to be studying elementary education with plans to teach and coach after graduation. “I chose Calvary because I felt like it was the best place to grow spiritually” said Shalom. “I really love the people and the energy of the campus and look forward to growing in my walk with Christ and improving my skills not only on the court but in life!”
