Griebel Signs with Warriors

Calvary University Men’s Basketball coach Matt Sanders is excited to announce the signing of Drake Griebel, a 6’3″ shooting guard from Springdale Arkansas.

During his high school career, Drake averaged 10.5 points per game, and added 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals per game. In 2015 he was awarded defensive player of the year for the NWA Blazers, and in 2016 helped Providence Christian Academy win a state title. Most recently He helped the Northwest Arkansa Hornets to a state runner up finish in 2018

Coach Sanders said “I am so excited about drake. He is everything as a staff we are looking for at the SG position. He is the epitome of a team player on and off the court. He is always super into the game and has such a heart for his teammates it is contagious. He has true hunger for God”s Word and it exudes in his life. Drake can really shoot and defend, so those are huge a plus to go with his character.

Drake said that he chose Calvary because he felt that God compelled him to go, and will be studying Pre Med. He is the son of Damon and JoJo Griebel.
