Horton Rounds Out 2018-19 Recruiting Class

Rounding out the 2018-19 recruiting class, Calvary University head women’s basketball coach Tressa Shoemaker is pleased to announce the signing of Macee Horton, a 5’4” shooting guard from Weatherford, TX.

“We are extremely happy and grateful that God led Macee to Calvary,” commented Coach Shoemaker. “Her kind spirit and desire to help grow the unity of the program will help us continue that legacy. Her court IQ, ball handling, shooting, and ability to see the open person are all things that she has, and her coachable attitude will continue to make those strengths prominent in collegiate games.”

During Macee’s senior year with the Weatherford Express homeschool team, she scored 7.3 points per game, and averaged 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1.5 steals. She was a three-time high school MVP for the Exprees.

Macee plans to study business administration and hope to open her own store at some point in the future. She chose Calvary because of the people, the community, and the opportunities available for her.
