Warriors Continue to Grow

The Warriors traveled to Ottawa University Friday, 6 October, playing Ottawa’s top JV team. Calvary competed on an equal level for the first two sets, but wasn’t able to come out with a win. In the first set, the Warriors fought hard taking the set to a heartbreaking 28-30 loss. Warriors tried to rally in the 2nd set, but lost the winning edge with key passing and hitting errors. “We played competitively in the first two sets,” Head Coach Jojo Wilkes said. “We dealt with unforced errors in all of the sets. In the third, we seemed to lose our confidence, which led to dropping the third set more quickly than the first two. Overall, we learned more areas of weakness and can work to address those areas going forward.” The Warriors as a team, served tough and left the game with 8 aces against Ottawa. Kenleigh Elder led the team with 9 kills.

The Warriors prepare to play Manhattan Christian College next at the Athletic Pyramid Center October 10th, at 7:00 P.M.
