Warriors Drop Two in North Dakota

The Lady Warriors took on both Trinity Bible College and North Dakota College at Bottineau in a tri-match Friday afternoon. The first match of the afternoon was against Trinity Bible College, and would be the second meeting of the season for both teams. The Warriors had a strong start, winning the first set 25-9. Trinity had an answer for Calvary and won the next two sets to take a 2-1 lead over the Warriors. In the fourth set, the Warriors shifted the momentum to their side taking the lead over Trinity, but were unable to win the set after setter Kennedy Shelton suffered an injury. Trinity Bible College took the match 3-1.

The Warriors next faced off against North Dakota College at Bottineau. The Jacks started the game strong, taking a commanding lead over the Warriors in the first set to win it 25-13. Calvary was unable to find an answer for the Jacks, and dropped the next two sets to lose the match 3-0. “Though it wasn’t enough to pull out a win, the girls played at a high level against great teams today,” said Coach Ashley Spicer. “I was really impressed with how they fought through adversity today.”

The Lady Warriors will next take the court against Manhattan Christian College on the 24th in Manhattan, KS.
